Atlassian Rovo MCP Server is now GA

This post announces the General Availability (GA) of the Atlassian Rovo Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server. It details how the MCP Server acts as an enterprise-ready, Atlassian-hosted infrastructure that allows a broad set of AI clients to securely connect with Jira and Confluence. Key new capabilities include: Rovo search and fetch across Jira/Confluence from external AI clients, creation and update of Confluence pages, and creation and linking of Jira epics/issues directly from AI clients. It also highlights support for MCP apps delivering tailored UI experiences and emphasizes enterprise-grade security, admin, and AI controls such as trusted client management, MCP usage logs for visibility, and alignment with existing Rovo/Atlassian platform controls. The post reinforces Atlassian's commitment to an open ecosystem for AI.
