Engineering a darker SourceTree

This post details the engineering effort behind implementing a dark theme for Sourcetree on macOS. It covers the decision-making process regarding implementation strategies (custom colors vs. stock controls), the technical challenges of theming window chrome, toolbars, assets, and scrollbars using macOS's NSAppearance and view debugging, and the extension of these efforts to the Repo Browser. The implementation focused on maintaining existing functionality with minimal custom UI, using custom midnight blue tones and leveraging the 'vibrant dark' appearance.
