Defeating the deepfake: stopping laptop farms and insider threats

This post introduces the integration of Nametag's workforce identity verification into Cloudflare Access, a component of Cloudflare One. This integration addresses the 'identity assurance gap' in zero trust models by verifying the human behind the request, not just the device or credentials. It leverages OpenID Connect (OIDC) to allow Nametag to act as an identity provider or an external evaluation factor. The workflow involves users authenticating with Nametag via selfie and government-issued ID, which then returns an ID token to Cloudflare Access for policy enforcement. This complements existing insider threat protections like DLP and RBI by providing identity assurance at the point of onboarding and potentially for continuous verification in the future.
