Marhaba Beirut! Cloudflare’s 121st location - مرحبا بيروت! موقع “كلاودفلار” ال ١٢١

This post announces the deployment of Cloudflare's 121st global location in Beirut, Lebanon. It details the technical benefit of this deployment: reducing round-trip latency by approximately 50 milliseconds for internet traffic to and from Lebanon. This is achieved by connecting directly to Ogero, the sole network provider in Lebanon, rather than routing traffic through existing deployments in Marseille and Paris. The post also mentions the low internet speeds in Lebanon and the government's plan to improve connectivity with fiber optics.
