Project Myriagon: Cloudflare Passes 10,000 Connected Networks

This post details the achievement of connecting to over 10,000 networks through Project Myriagon, a significant expansion of Cloudflare's global network. It explains the importance of Autonomous Systems (ASNs) and BGP in internet routing, highlighting how direct interconnections reduce latency and avoid congestion. The post quantifies the impact with a real-world example of a 90% reduction in median end-user latency. It also introduces Project CatchG, aiming to further increase network connectivity.
