GitLab 18.3: Expanding AI orchestration in software engineering

GitLab 18.3 introduces a Knowledge Graph for real-time code indexing and faster code searches, an Orchestration Layer with an engine for multi-agent flows and event subscriptions, and first-class agents for every stage of development. It expands integrations with third-party AI tools via the MCP server and CLI agent support for Claude Code, Codex, Amazon Q, Google Gemini, and opencode. Agentic Chat support is extended to Visual Studio IDE. New automated development flows include Issue to MR Flow for automated code generation and Convert CI File Flow for migrating CI/CD configurations to GitLab CI format, with initial support for Jenkins migrations.
