Geohash Plugin Zoom Freeze

1 post · Feb 2023

What this trail covers

Grab's Geohash JOSM plugin has been enhanced with a 'zoom freeze' feature, allowing users to toggle the display of new geohashes during zoom-in/zoom-out operations. This improves map readability and user experience by preventing unnecessary geohash updates. The feature also disables options for explicitly displaying larger or smaller geohashes when zoom freeze is active.

  1. New zoom freezing feature for Geohash pluginIntroduced a 'zoom freeze' toggle to the Geohash JOSM plugin. This feature allows users to prevent the dynamic display of new geohashes when zooming in or out, enhancing map readability. The implementation includes a UI label that changes from 'Enable zoom freeze' to 'Disable zoom freeze' based on the toggle state. When zoom freeze is enabled, options to 'Display larger geohashes' and 'Display smaller geohashes' are also disabled.
