Introduced Global Reservations Service and Regional Fluidity to enable region-agnostic service and capacity management across 14 global data centers. Global Reservations simplifies fault tolerance for latency-tolerant services by using a mixed-integer linear programming solver to assign machines to global reservations, optimizing for placement and disaster-readiness buffers. Regional Fluidity addresses latency-sensitive services by modeling demand sources and rebalancing services to minimize cross-region network requests.
