A custom data diagnostic adapter for Visual Studio Coded UI Test using Windows PSR
Oct 4, 2011Mathew Aniyan MSFT
Summary
Introduced a custom diagnostic data adapter for Visual Studio Coded UI Test that integrates with Windows Problem Steps Recorder (PSR). This adapter automatically starts PSR at the beginning of each test case to capture UI actions and screenshots, and stops PSR at the end of the test case to generate a zipped HTML report. In case of test failure, an additional screenshot is captured and attached to the test results. This enhances debugging capabilities for UI test automation by providing detailed, yet concise, troubleshooting logs without the overhead of full video recordings.
