Jul 23, 2013Andy Lewis

Summary
This post introduces the capability to execute custom batch (.bat) and PowerShell scripts within the Team Foundation Build (TFBuild) process in Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server 2013. It provides two example scripts: 'ApplyVersionToAssemblies.ps1' to version assemblies before compilation and 'GatherItemsForDrop.ps1' to prepare binaries for staging after compilation. The post also details how to reference these scripts from the build definition, explains the environment variables available to scripts, and offers debugging tips.
