Quick Response Sample – Visual Studio Extension to support the ALM Rangers Branching and Merging guidance

This post introduces a Visual Studio Extension that provides a UI for applying predefined branching models to Team Foundation Server (TFS) repositories. The extension builds upon a command-line utility engine that uses a defined schema for branch plans and MEF-extended actions (Connect to source Control, Create Folder, Create Branch, Check-In to source control) to automate the creation of source control structures. The extension allows users to select configured branch plans and set arguments before applying them, simplifying the implementation of branching strategies.
