Sharing of Deployment Groups across projects
Jan 11, 2018Abhishek Agrawai

Summary
This post introduces the ability to share Deployment Groups across Azure DevOps projects. Previously, Deployment Groups were scoped to a single project. Now, by exposing the underlying 'Deployment Pool' concept, users can share deployment targets (IaaS machines) across multiple projects. This addresses scenarios like branch offices or enterprise environments where multiple applications are installed on the same machine, or where a central admin manages resources consumed by project users. The post details the conditions for sharing a Deployment Pool and provides a step-by-step guide on how to share a Deployment Group between projects.
