Speeding up Unit Test Execution in TFS
Jul 30, 2015Atin Bansal

Summary
This post details techniques for speeding up unit test execution within TFS builds. It covers two primary methods: maximizing hardware resource utilization through parallel test execution within a single machine (e.g., using TestNG's multi-threading capabilities) and distributing test runs across multiple machines by dividing tests into logical sets and configuring TFS build definitions for multi-configuration parallel execution. Examples are provided for both C# and Java test scenarios.
