Using Coded UI to test XAML-based Windows Store apps
Jun 26, 2013Prachi Bora (MSFT)

Summary
Introduces the ability to use Coded UI tests for XAML-based Windows Store apps in Visual Studio 2013 Preview. This includes new specialized classes for XAML controls (e.g., XamlButton, XamlList) under the Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting.WindowsRuntimeControls namespace, support for touch gestures via the Gesture class, and methods for launching Store apps using the app tile or the XamlWindow.Launch API. Limitations include no recording of action steps and support only for XAML-based store apps, not WinJS apps.
