Foundry Container Engine (FCE) for Legacy Modernization

This post introduces the Foundry Container Engine (FCE), a new capability that allows containerized legacy code to run within Palantir Foundry. FCE aims to enable organizations to modernize their critical, often decades-old, software systems incrementally and safely by abstracting away the underlying infrastructure, similar to how AWS Lambda works. It addresses challenges such as disruptive modernization, unscalable environments, siloed logic, closed ecosystems, and the disconnect between legacy model outputs and operational decisions. FCE facilitates rapid scaling, interoperability, secure collaboration, and the creation of modern, dynamic user interfaces for legacy systems, ultimately making them 100x more valuable by integrating them with other Foundry products.
