Scaling End-to-End User Interface Tests

Introduced a reusable E2E UI automation framework based on Cypress.io and a Page Object Model (POM) abstraction. Developed Slack-specific methods for UI interactions, organized tests by components (e.g., MessageInputComponent), and established best practices including the use of 'data-qa' attributes for element selection. This resulted in a 60% reduction in test flakiness and improved test maintainability.
