This post introduces smartwatch apps for Apple Watch and Android Wear OS, allowing users to send/receive messages, view media, and manage chats. It also adds rich text formatting for bots, enabling inline media, carousels, collages, tables, blockquotes, headings, anchors, collapsible sections, footnotes, and math formatting, with an increased message limit of 32,768 characters. AI guardians are introduced to screen join requests and moderate group chats. Poll options can now include links, and the in-app browser gains support for native rendering of .md files. Introduced live comments and reactions in group calls and video chats for participants to share thoughts during conversations. These are temporary messages that briefly appear on the call screen. This feature is available in group calls and video chats with fewer than 1000 participants. Bots now support threaded conversations for managing multiple topics in parallel and can stream responses as they are generated, which is particularly useful for AI chatbots. The Bug and Suggestion Platform has been launched as an official mini app for easier reporting and suggestions.
