Redesigning Workflow experience with Temporal’s New UI

This post details the redesign of the Temporal Workflow Execution UI, introducing three new views: Compact, Timeline, and Full History. The Compact view offers a linear progression of Event Groups, the Timeline view visualizes event durations and real-time progress, and the Full History view provides low-level event details akin to a git tree. Enhancements include improved event grouping, visual cues (lines, dots, icons, colors, liveness) for event status and type, real-time updates, and the ability to view child workflow timelines within summary details. The UI also features streamlined filters, dedicated tabs for Relationships and Metadata, and the addition of Dark Mode. Child workflow visibility can now be toggled in the Workflow List.
