Building a software factory for AI SDK

This post details the creation and implementation of the `ai-sdk-factory`, a software factory designed to autonomously process issues and pull requests for the Vercel AI SDK. It describes the decision to build a factory rather than scale human maintainers, the design principles (one agent per task, security from the start, build value locally then move to cloud), and the specific agents developed (classification, bug reproduction, bug fixes, PR reviews, backports, documentation updates, feature analysis, feature implementation). It highlights the use of Vercel Sandboxes for security and the migration to Vercel's managed infrastructure (Functions, Queues, Blob, Sandbox, Postgres). The post also provides a detailed example of the factory processing a community-submitted feature request.
