Solve string and hashmap coding tasks
Coding Tasks: String and Hash Map Problems
You will solve the following three independent coding tasks. For each task, provide clear input/output behavior and handle all specified edge cases.
1) Longest Non-Repeating Substring (Length + Substring)
Given a string s, find:
- The maximum length of a substring with no repeated characters.
- One such substring that achieves this maximum length.
Return the result as a tuple (max_len, substring).
Clarifications / Edge Cases:
- The input string
scan be empty. - If multiple substrings have the same maximum length, you may return any one of them (or specify a tie-breaking rule, such as the leftmost occurrence).
2) Group Strings by Anagram
Given an array of strings strs, group the strings into lists where each list contains strings that are anagrams of each other.
Return the groups in any order.
Follow-up:
- State and justify the time and space complexity of your chosen approach.
3) Execute Grid Moves from a Command String (Case-Insensitive)
You are positioned on an infinite 2D grid, starting at coordinates (0, 0). You will receive a command string cmd consisting of characters that represent movement instructions:
U/u: Move up to(x, y+1)D/d: Move down to(x, y-1)L/l: Move left to(x-1, y)R/r: Move right to(x+1, y)
Process the command string sequentially and return the final coordinate (x, y).
Clarifications:
- Commands should be treated case-insensitively (e.g.,
Uanduboth mean move up). - Clearly define how your solution handles any invalid characters encountered within the command string (e.g., ignore them, raise an error, etc.).
