Support Dynamic Range Sums
Problem Description
You are tasked with implementing a data structure that operates on an integer array, nums.
Initially, consider the scenario where the array nums is static (never changes). Your data structure should efficiently support a sumRange(left, right) operation, which returns the sum of elements in nums from index left to right, inclusive.
As a follow-up, the array nums becomes mutable. Your data structure must now efficiently support two operations:
update(index, value): Sets the element atnums[index]tovalue.sumRange(left, right): Returns the sum of elements innumsfrom indexlefttoright, inclusive.
The design for the mutable version should ensure both update and sumRange operations are efficient. The array length and the total number of operations (updates and sum queries combined) can each be up to 100,000. Be prepared to discuss multiple approaches and their tradeoffs.
