Implement Minesweeper click-to-reveal expansion
Implement Minesweeper Click-to-Reveal Expansion
Implement a text-based Minesweeper engine. The engine should handle board initialization and the "click" operation.
Board Setup:
- The board has a specified
heightandwidth. - Some cells contain mines.
- Each non-mine cell must store the count of adjacent mines (considering 8-directional neighbors).
Click Behavior (click(r, c)):
- If the clicked cell
(r, c)contains a mine, reveal it and end the game. - Otherwise, reveal the clicked cell
(r, c). - If the revealed cell's adjacent-mine count is 0, recursively or iteratively reveal all connected cells with a count of 0, and their immediate non-zero-count neighbors (standard Minesweeper expansion).
- Re-clicking an already revealed cell should have no effect.
I/O / Interaction:
- Provide functions or classes to allow a user to play by making repeated clicks.
- The board state can be visualized using
print, showing hidden cells as#, revealed numbers as0-8, and mines as*only when revealed.
Constraints:
1 ≤ width, height ≤ 200(total cells up to 40,000).- Mines can constitute up to
width*height - 1of the cells. - The expansion logic must avoid stack overflow issues on large boards.
Deliverables:
- Appropriate data structures for representing the board state.
- An efficient implementation for the click expansion logic.
- A simple demonstration loop showing the board's state after each click.
