Apply sliding window techniques
Problem Description
Explain the sliding window technique. Then, apply this technique to solve the following two problems:
- Given an array of positive integers and a target sum
S, return the minimal length of a contiguous subarray whose sum is greater than or equal toS. If no such subarray exists, return 0. - Given a string and an integer
K, return the length of the longest substring that contains at mostKdistinct characters.
For both problems, analyze the time and space complexity of your solutions. Additionally, discuss when it is appropriate to use a fixed-size sliding window versus a dynamic-size sliding window.
