DevMate CLI for Accelerated React Native Development

Atlassian's Mobile Platform team developed DevMate, an in-house CLI tool to accelerate React Native development. DevMate streamlines environment setup, reduces build times, and improves consistency by automating dependency installation, intelligent dependency management, and smart build skipping. It addresses challenges like complex environment setup, inconsistent workflows, long build times, cross-platform testing overhead, and onboarding friction. DevMate complements existing tools like Expo CLI and React Native CLI by providing native-aware features and a tailored experience for internal workflows, particularly for working with native code and optimizing for internal workflows.
