This post details the proactive deployment of new managed WAF rules (Rule ID …ec9f34e1, Legacy Managed Rules 100604 and 100605, Free Managed Rule …91935fcb) to protect all Cloudflare customers against the CVE-2023-22515 Atlassian Confluence privilege escalation vulnerability. The rules were developed and deployed within hours of Atlassian releasing details of the zero-day.
