Cloudflare acquires PartyKit to allow developers to build real-time multi-user applications

This post announces the acquisition of PartyKit, an open-source platform for real-time, collaborative, multiplayer applications. PartyKit leverages Cloudflare's Durable Objects and WebSockets to simplify the development of stateful serverless applications, making real-time experiences more accessible to developers. It complements existing serverless functions by providing a stateful model that simplifies scalability and reduces costs. The integration aims to enable local-first application development and empower the creation of advanced multiplayer games and collaborative tools.
