Cloudflare Images Now Available to Everyone

This post introduces Cloudflare Images, a new product that unifies image storage, resizing, optimization, and delivery. It addresses legacy image pipeline challenges by separating stored images from variants, eliminating egress costs, and providing built-in access control via signed URLs. The product supports common file formats, direct creator uploads via API tokens, and configurable variants for resizing with various fit options. It also optimizes image delivery by automatically selecting optimal formats (WebP, PNG, JPEG, GIF) and plans to add AVIF support and analytics.
