Summary
Introduces Custom Regions for Cloudflare's Regional Services, allowing users to define their own geographical boundaries for traffic processing using expressions based on country codes. Expands managed regions to include Turkey, UAE, IRAP, and ISMAP. Details the mechanism for defining region membership, calculating optimal in-region routing via Quicksilver, and enforcing the boundary at the edge. The core mechanism remains the same: TLS termination and Layer 7 processing only happen inside the chosen region. Custom Regions are initially set up collaboratively with account teams.
