Making Cloudflare the best place for your web applications

This post announces the convergence of Cloudflare Pages and Workers into a unified development and application hosting platform. Key advancements include: super low latency global execution, free egress and static asset hosting, a standards-based JavaScript and WASM runtime serving over 10 million requests per second, integration with R2, KV, Queues, and D1, and support for GitOps and CI/CD workflows. It also introduces 'Smart Placement' for Workers, allowing compute to run at optimal network locations (not just the edge) based on data proximity. Wrangler v3 is launched with local-by-default development and improved Chrome DevTools integration. The dashboard editor is upgraded with VSCode and edge preview. Resource limits for applications are increased (10MB bundle size, 400ms startup latency). Pages CI now uses a modern build image with Node.js, pnpm, and build caching.
