Making Edge Side Includes (ESI) Automatic and Easy

This post introduces Railgun as a next-generation solution for caching dynamic HTML content. Unlike traditional Edge Side Includes (ESI) which require manual tagging and significant development effort, Railgun automatically identifies and caches static portions of HTML at the edge. Dynamic portions are fetched from the origin without requiring code modifications. This approach aims to deliver significant performance increases by reducing the amount of dynamic content transmitted over the network, without introducing process lock-in.
