Why we built Decagon Duet on Agent Operating Procedures | Decagon

This post details how Decagon built its Duet AI partner on top of its existing Agent Operating Procedures (AOPs) framework. Instead of integrating a frontier reasoning model directly, Duet leverages AOPs to define its core processes (defining workflows, testing, refining logic, analyzing performance, diagnosing gaps) as executable procedures. This allows Duet to operate within the Decagon platform, access necessary tooling for actions like versioning and data analysis, and provides visibility to non-engineering teams.
