Redesigning GitLab's navigation

This post details the technical implementation of a UI navigation redesign based on user research and testing. It introduces a new global navigation bar and breadcrumbs to improve user orientation and access to global content. The design decisions were informed by user testing to differentiate between global and contextual content. Future iterations are planned for collapsible sidebars, fly-out dropdowns, and mobile responsiveness.
