Unveiling GitLab's new navigation

This post details the technical implementation of several UI navigation improvements: a collapsible sidebar with icons, a flyout menu for sub-page access, dropdown links in the top bar for quicker project access, and improved breadcrumbs with chevrons and ellipsis for subgroups. It also covers header height reduction and redesign of active/hover/dropdown styles, including notification badges. The post highlights user feedback driving these iterations and mentions upcoming efforts in color palettes, type ramps, and iconography.
