Developer’s guide to multi-agent patterns in ADK- Google Developers Blog
Dec 16, 2025Shubham Saboo

Summary
This post introduces and details eight multi-agent design patterns (Sequential Pipeline, Coordinator/Dispatcher, Parallel Fan-Out/Gather, Hierarchical Decomposition, Generator/Critic, Iterative Refinement, Human-in-the-loop) within the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK). It provides pseudocode examples for implementing these patterns using ADK primitives like SequentialAgent, CoordinatorAgent, ParallelAgent, LoopAgent, and AgentTool. The patterns address challenges in building scalable, reliable, and debuggable AI agent systems by promoting modularity and specialization.
