This post introduces a significant enhancement to the Gemini CLI by enabling deep integration with VS Code. This integration provides the CLI with workspace and selection context, allowing it to offer more relevant suggestions. Furthermore, it introduces native in-editor diffing within VS Code for reviewing and modifying suggested code changes before acceptance. New commands `/ide install`, `/ide enable`, and `/ide disable` are introduced to manage this IDE integration.
