How to: Move the Data Warehouse SQL Server Analysis Services Database to a Separate Server
Sep 27, 2006vstsuetb

Summary
This post details the procedure for migrating the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) database of the Team Foundation Server (TFS) data warehouse to a separate server. This involves stopping the TFSServerScheduler service, granting the new SSAS server access to the warehouse relational database, updating the TFSIntegration database with the new SSAS server name, rebuilding the SSAS database using setupwarehouse.exe, restarting the TFS data warehouse application pool, processing the data warehouse cube, updating the SQL Server Reporting Services data source to point to the new SSAS server, and finally restarting the TFSServerScheduler service.
