Using the New Exception Helper in Visual Studio 2017

Introduces a new, non-modal Exception Helper in Visual Studio 2017 for both managed and native code debugging. This helper breaks on the line of code where the exception occurs, displays exception type and message at a glance, provides null reference analysis for NullReferenceException and Access Violation (with specific .NET version requirements for managed code), allows configuration of exception settings to disable breaking on specific exceptions or modules, immediately shows inner exceptions, and can be moved between pinned and floating views. For unhandled exceptions in managed debugging, it breaks faster by not unwinding the call stack automatically. For native debugging, it remains non-modal, allowing code inspection without dismissing a dialog.
