What this trail covers

Qdrant now officially supports the ARM architecture, providing compiled Docker images for ARM users. Performance benchmarks indicate that ARM64 is approximately 10% slower on average and 20% slower on the median for vector search compared to x86, but offers more consistent performance and cost savings on cloud providers like AWS.

  1. Qdrant supports ARM architecture! - QdrantThis post introduces and benchmarks Qdrant's support for the ARM architecture. It details performance comparisons between ARM64 (AWS Graviton2) and x86 (Intel Xeon) instances on AWS, focusing on vector search latency. The findings show that while ARM64 is slightly slower, it offers more consistent performance and cost advantages, making it a viable option for budget-conscious deployments.
