Jun 2026Vector Space Hackathon 2026 - QdrantThis post details winning and honorable mention projects from the Qdrant "Think Outside the Bot" hackathon 2026. Winning projects include MemoryAtlas (mental health detection using multi-vector embeddings and payload filtering), Crowd Whisperer (real-time crowd reaction simulation using hybrid vectors and reward formulas), and Synthara (a memory-driven RPG using vector embeddings for narrative persistence). Honorable mentions cover tactical football play search (DejaPlay), DeFi yield product indexing (Cardinal), gardening advice generation (Sprouty), visual anomaly detection (Afterimage), and infrastructure architecture reasoning (Black Swan). The projects showcase diverse applications of Qdrant's vector search capabilities, including multi-vector search, payload filtering, hybrid search, and integration with various AI models and frameworks.
Apr 2026Presenting Sentinel - Gen AI Zürich Hackathon Winner - QdrantThis post showcases Sentinel, a hackathon-winning project that uses Qdrant for semantic search in an AI-powered early warning system to detect misinformation. It details the system's architecture, including data collection via Apify, vector storage and search with Qdrant Cloud, and AI analysis using Mistral-7B. The post highlights Qdrant's essential role in enabling the system to find semantically related articles across different sources and compare factual claims despite varying wording, demonstrating its scalability for continuous news ingestion.
Feb 2026Convolve 4.0 - IIT Hackathon Winners - QdrantThis post highlights three winning projects from the Convolve 4.0 IIT Hackathon: Masthishq (multimodal AI agent for cognitive prosthetics using CV, Qdrant, and LLMs), SignalWeave (temporal AI memory system for trend detection using vector embeddings and Qdrant for persistent memory), and Demeter (autonomous multi-agent system for hydroponic farm management using multimodal data, Qdrant for Farm Memory Units, and specialized agents). All projects emphasize Qdrant's role as a foundational memory layer for AI systems that remember, reason over history, and improve over time.
Sep 2025Thinking Outside the Bot with 2025 Hackathon Winners - QdrantThis post details the winners and notable projects from the 2025 Qdrant Hackathon, showcasing diverse applications of vector search. Projects include a 3D e-commerce exploration experience (Vector Vintage) using embeddings, Qdrant, and Neo4j; a robot trajectory memory and reflex suggestion system (RoboBank) leveraging Qdrant for real-time fallback suggestions; and spatio-temporal NPCs with subconscious memory in Qdrant. Other featured projects include route-aware event discovery (ReMap) with hybrid semantic search, a personality-driven social platform (CosmicTwin) using vector similarity, an AI choreographer (Bachata Vibes) matching music features to dance clips, and a multi-modal classroom assistant (Qlassroom) for searchable knowledge recall. Honorable mentions include a 3D knowledge universe for documents (Quant Memory Palace) and a local, privacy-first personal knowledge companion (OmniVault). The post emphasizes the creative application of vector retrieval in new domains and the potential for future edge technologies.
