Live Audio Recording and Distribution

Spotify Live has introduced a native recording feature, allowing creators to record live audio streams and distribute them as podcasts. This system handles room creation events, initiates cloud recording, processes raw audio files (.ts and .m3u8), stitches them into a single .mp4 file using FFmpeg, embeds metadata, and uploads the final recording to S3 for distribution to the creator. The system also includes error handling for real-time audio disruptions and silenceremoval during post-processing.
