Announcing our new CI/CD runtime, with up to 8x faster builds

This post announces the general availability of a new, next-generation CI/CD runtime for Bitbucket Pipelines. This new runtime enables significantly larger instance sizes for builds, offering up to 8x more CPU and memory (4x: 8 cores/16GB, 8x: 16 cores/32GB). Builds using the new `4x` and `8x` sizes will automatically use this new runtime. The legacy runtime for `1x` and `2x` sizes will be retired on September 17th, 2024, at which point these sizes will also migrate to the new runtime. The post warns of potential rare incompatibilities with specific runtime environment elements and advises testing. It also highlights the need to update IP allowlisting for internal networks prior to the legacy runtime retirement.
