Summary
This Hack Week project involved designing and building a custom liquid cooling system from scratch for high-powered GPU servers. The team sourced and assembled core components like radiators, pumps, reservoirs, tubing, and sensors. They demonstrated significant thermal performance improvements, achieving 20–30°C lower operating temperatures under stress tests compared to air-cooled systems. The project also explored fan configurations and airflow optimization for components beyond CPUs and GPUs, and laid the groundwork for future data center infrastructure to support next-generation hardware and AI workloads.
