Introduced the Application Insights SDK for Java, enabling Java web applications to send telemetry for usage analytics, performance monitoring, and diagnostic analysis to the Application Insights portal. This allows for server-side metrics of response times, request volumes, and user counts, as well as client-side insights from web pages. It also supports custom telemetry for events, metrics, and exceptions, and integrates with logging frameworks like Log4J and Logback. Web tests can be configured to monitor application health and responsiveness.
