Transforming Executive Travel: Delegate Booking with Uber

This post introduces the Delegate Booking tool, which enhances the unified checkout and payment ecosystem by enabling executive assistants (EAs) to book and manage rides on behalf of executives. It details the engineering challenges and architectural changes required to support multiple user profiles (executive and EA) interacting with a single trip, including service expansion, notification system extension, and integration with the billing engine. The feature aims to improve user experience continuity, provide control and visibility for EAs, and expand Uber's offerings for premium business segments.
