Glean expands horizontal, agent platform with open agent interoperability, dozens of personal and business agents, and comprehensive AI security

This post introduces Glean's open, horizontal platform for agent deployment and experimentation, featuring an agent builder with natural language input, per-step model selection, and a model hub for integrating various LLM providers. It also details the Agents API, which follows the LangChain Agent Protocol, and provides API client libraries in multiple languages. A hosted MCP server for secure agent interoperability and enhanced agent observability and evaluation tools are also introduced. The release includes dozens of prebuilt quickstart agents for various business functions and personal use cases, leveraging a personal graph. New integrations, such as with Snowflake Cortex Analyst, and companion/sidebar features are highlighted. The agent library aims to scale GenAI tools across organizations. Glean Protect is introduced as an embedded security suite for AI governance, focusing on guardrails, permission rules, and data access controls during agent lifecycle stages.
